The Ministry of Education is responsible for Aboriginal Education in the BC public school system kindergarten to grade 12. Through the Learning Division, Aboriginal Education, the Ministry is committed to working with education partners, school districts and Aboriginal communities to improve Aboriginal student success.
Our District is committed to the education of our students of aboriginal ancestry.

Métis Week – November 13th-16th
Metis week marks the celebration of The Metis people, their culture and their contributions. The Métis are descendants of French Canadian or European fur traders and First Nations mothers, who have evolved to develop their own unique and distinct culture. The infinity sign, a Métis symbol, is used to represent the coming together of two cultures. Throughout the week we will be learning more about Métis culture and taking part in this celebration.
